International Rugby League announces Laws Advisory Panel members
International Rugby League (IRL) has announced the members of the Laws Advisory Panel (LAP). The panel will be responsible for reviewing the laws of the game on a regular basis and advising the Board on a single aligned set of laws with the minimum number of interpretations. The first target is to complete this task well in advance of RLWC2021.
The panel is drawn from a wide group of constituents and will include three members from the women’s game. It also includes members drawn from the nations with the two major playing leagues, the Telstra Premiership and the Betfred Super League, plus panellists representing other member nations, nominated through APRL and RLEF.
The Chair will be selected by the panel members and will rotate on an annual basis.

Mackenzie Fane – Canada player
Michael Maguire – Head Coach of New Zealand and Wests Tigers
Dave Rotheram – RFL Chief On-field Officer
Ruan Simms – Australia player
Nigel Wood – IRL Chief Executive Officer
