Brasil Rugby League preparing for a fantastic 2021 and beyond

Brasil Training Camp - December 2020

The Brasil Rugby League held its initial training camp for their elite athletes on December 6th and 7th in São Lourenço, in the State of Minas Gerais. The camp involved both Brazilian Women's and Men's Teams, and was conducted in a COVID secure environment.

More than 120 athletes from all over the country were evaluated by coaches and received intensive coaching to teach more about the Rugby League and provide valuable experience for the new referees and coaches for the Premiership, the 13-a-side Brazilian Championship, which will start in February at female category and in April in the male category. Ten clubs have signed up to participate in the Premiership.


"It is essential that athletes in the women's category prepare as soon as possible for the World Cup. The menare preparing for their attempt to qualify for the 2022 Americas Cup." said Hugo Fróes, chief operating officer of the Confederation.
