Qualification Continuum
Education Qualification Continuum

To support IRL's strategic aim of developing technical competency and to continuously improve standards of coaches and match officials accross the membership, IRL works to qualify Educators and Tutors, trainined to deliver Level 1 and Level 2 of both the coach and match official qualifications.
Educators are trained to deliver the Level 1 or Level 2 qualifications and assess and approve Candidates undertaking the courses. Educators also mentor and support the development of skills and abilities of new coaches and match officials whom they have delivered courses to as part of IRL's continued professional development system, CATO.
Tutors are trained to teach, assess and approve new Educators to deliver the Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications.
Once Candidates have completed their Level 2 CATO+ in either strand they are eligible to begin training to become a Level 1 Educator.
