Norway and Montenegro have announced their squads for an U17s international to be held on Sunday 10 May in Farsund, south west of Oslo, at the Alcoa sports facilities (kick off noon, local time).

The match marks a second meeting between the sides who clashed in Serbia in 2025 as U16s at the Belgrade Trophy, Norway winning 32-0 on that occasion.

“We're delighted to be welcoming the Montenegro U17s,” said Rugby League Norge president, Anne Haigh. “We are hoping for an equally enjoyable match to give our youth players some valuable game time and look forward to showcasing Norway as a touring destination.

“I am sure that the Montenegro team will enjoy their experience and we can continue to build on this partnership between our two national federations."

The visitors draw their squad from two established clubs, Jadran based in the city of Herceg Novi and Arsenal who play in Tivat, and will be coached by Aljosa Marinković assisted by Srđan Popović and Elvira Beris.

President of Montenegro Rugby League, Igo Adzaip, stated: “We are very pleased to be taking the Montenegro U17s team to Norway for an historic tour. We enjoyed the game against them last year and are very much looking forward to giving the players further touring experience and helping them to develop. I am sure it will be a good game, and I am very grateful to Rugby League Norge for hosting us."

Norwegian referee Joseph Rago will take charge of the fixture.
