Fast paced and action packed! The 9-a-side World Cup is held every fourth year, two years after the 13-a-side World Cup.

The first Rugby League World Cup 9s was held in 2019 at Bankstown Stadium, Sydney. The 2023 event, which had been scheduled for Australia, was cancelled following the NSW government withdrawing its support due to the pandemic.
