2026 Men's European Championship Fixtures Announced

Details for the men’s European Championships, which start at the beginning of next month, have been confirmed. In the second year of the current format, nine nations are taking part in three tiers of competition – Euro B, C and D.

Three nations will play in each, with this season’s groups determined after the winners in last year’s Euro C and D were promoted and the bottom nations in B and C relegated.

Euro C will be the first underway when Germany host Malta on Saturday 3 October, with Malta taking on Greece the following weekend on Saturday 10 October. The group concludes on Saturday 17 October when Germany travel to Greece.

Euro D commences on Saturday 17 October when Italy make a first-ever visit to Norway. The Azzurri will then be in action on Saturday 24 October when they host Czechia, with the final round taking place on Saturday 31 October when Czechia welcome Norway.

Euro B will be played centrally, in Belgrade, with hosts Serbia facing Ukraine on Sunday 18 October and then Netherlands on Saturday 24 October. The midweek game, on Wednesday 21 October, will see Ukraine take on Netherlands.

“Providing our members with a competitive framework of activity has been beneficial to them, guaranteeing them at least two world ranking games each year with the majority playing a home and away fixture,” said European Rugby League chair Dean Andrew.

“I’m also grateful to the Serbian Rugby League Federation for hosting Euro B centrally, as Italy did last year for Euro C, to ensure that Ukraine have an easier logistical challenge while they are unable to play home games. After this year’s competition we will again consult with members to determine the next steps for 2027 and beyond so that all teams have a multi-year framework to work to.”
