Based in Manchester, Sara began her career in rugby league in her home country of Australia with the National Rugby League. It was here she lead content production for NRL.com, launched league-wide digital platforms including the NRL online ticketing site and NRL Nines App. Sara managed the digital marketing for Telstra Premiership and State of Origin.
She went on to establish websites and social media audiences as Head of Digital for Rugby League World Cup 2017. The transition of these platforms from RLWC2017 to RLWC2021 lead her to Manchester, contributing to the initial set-up for the upcoming World Cup in England.
Since 2019 Sara has worked for International Rugby League, leading the rebrand and more recently, a digital transformation encompassing asset management, website and Member portal. The rebrand and transformation is geared at professionalising the international game, improving the marketing and administration of the sport globally.
Passionate about equality and female empowerment through sport, Sara is an active member of IRL's Women and Girls Advisory Group.
