Based in the Occitanie region of France, Danny began his rugby league career in the media before moving to Lebanon in 2002 to begin development of the sport there. While in Lebanon, he was appointed the European Rugby League’s Euro-Med Development Director in 2007, then became its general manager in 2010. At the ERL he wrote and implemented its first strategy, growing the membership and restructuring the governance of both the ERL and several member nations. During this period, Danny won several EU grants for projects to support good governance, match official development and coach education.
He moved to International Rugby League in September 2018, where he was tasked with developing the organisation’s capacity and structure, and its identity as an international federation. In December 2020 he became the federation’s first secretary general.
