On behalf of International Rugby League, I pay tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for her service to rugby league and express our sincere condolences on her passing.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II enjoyed a long association with rugby league, and international teams playing in Britain often had the honour of meeting her.
She was Patron of the Rugby Football League until 2016 and the game is grateful for her support over many years.
International Rugby League extends its deepest sympathies to the Royal family, people of the United Kingdom and the many Commonwealth nations where rugby league is played.
