The Board of International Rugby League (IRL) has approved the latest Laws for wheelchair rugby league (WHRL) and physical disability rugby league (PDRL).

The WHRL Laws are unchanged from those published ahead of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup and will be reviewed after RLWC2021. This is the first time the PDRL Laws have formally been approved by the IRL Board. Both sets of laws are applicable with immediate effect.

IRL secretary general, Danny Kazandjian has welcomed this development saying; “It is a fundamental duty of the international federation to maintain the international laws of the game. I would like to pay tribute to the expert Wheelchair Rugby League Advisory Group and the Physical Disability Rugby League world cup panel who have diligently explored these two sets of laws and ensured that both the laws and the playing conditions surrounding the laws are clear for players, coaches and fans around the world.”
