England v France Wheelchair Series - Highlights

One year out from the Rugby League World Cup, the best two international wheelchair rugby league teams met in Gillingham, England for a two game series.

After the enforced break due to COVID-19 both squads were desperate to play meaningful games and this shone through in the most competitive of series. However, both coaches understand that the most vital outcome was preparation for their squads for the big show in 12 months time and from that perspective both coaches can take some satisfaction.

France won the two game series taking both games and lifting the Fassolette - Kielty Tropht, named after the founding fathers of wheelchair rugby league. It's a great trophy and great accolade but players, coaches and fans alike know that lifting the World Cup is the true aim.
