Brazil head into critical phase of World Cup preparation with combined national championship and training camp.

In spite of the huge problems caused by the global pandemic, Brazil Rugby League are pressing ahead with the preparation for the Rugby League World Cup. The commitment of the players, coaches and administrators is outstanding.

This Saturday Brazil Rugby League will hold the semi-finals of the national championship in Sao Lourenco. Maringa will play Vitoria and Melina will face Remendadas. All players will then stay a full week in the Covid compliant camp to have a training camp which will lead to the selection of the 40 players who will make up the Amazonas' World Cup training squad. National Coach, Paul Grundy will lead the high-performance camp and oversee the selection process.

The week will conclude with the national championship final next Saturday.
