Greg has been appointed to the IRL board as its first independent Chair commencing the role on 1 February 2020. He is an experienced New Zealand based sports administrator.
He is the current chair of New Zealand Cricket and has been on that board since 2012. For the previous six years he has also been a director of cricket’s world body, the International Cricket Council.
Greg is a commercial lawyer and has had a long involvement in the business of sport and large events. He is also an experienced director holding, or having held, board positions with a variety of New Zealand or Australian companies or sporting organisations. He is a Chartered Member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.
He lives in Auckland and enjoys the beach, travelling and cooking. He follows, and occasionally participates in, a variety of sports, including any of those involving his three teenaged daughters.
