Latest NRL results

The NRL Round 4 has thrown up more close games, a blow-out of epic proportions and talking points galore - with still one game to come on Monday.

The round started on Thursday when an under-strength Brisbane Broncos team found the defending champions, the Roosters in unforgiving mood. A record 59- 0 win for the Roosters. Game 2 of the weekend also had a one-way feel to it as the Panthers defeated the Warriors 26 - 0 followed by the Storm's re-boot after a loss to the Raiders, as they over-ran South Sydney 22 - 8.

Saturday's games threw up excitement and controversy by the bucket-load - the Eels defeated Manly by 19 - 16 but that nowhere near captures the quality of the match up and the controversy of Manly having a last minute try ruled out for a forward pass. The Cowboys and the Sharks slugged it out after a pre-game "high temperature scare" threatened to rule out six Sharks players - not enough to upset the Sharks and they won by 26 - 16.

In Sunday's opening game, the rampant Raiders came looking for a follow up win after their heroics last week against the Storm - The Newcastle Knights had other ideas though and in a ding-dong game, they came out on top by 28 - 18 and then, the Titans ended a 364 day run without a win in sensational fashion. With minutes remaining in a pulsating game, Benji Marshall kicked what looked to be a match-winning field goal. The Titans, who had shown remarkable resilience throughout, went for the short kick, which bobbled around the 10 metre mark for an age before it crept past the magic mark and was snapped up by the Titans. They took every advantage of that possession and with less that 2 minutes on the clock, engineered a try to the left of the posts - final score, 28 - 23. 

The current leadership for "razzle-dazzle" try of the year is currently sitting with Wests' Joey Leilua getting on the end of a kick after a miraculous series of passes.

The Dragons and the Bulldogs will complete the round on Monday.
